Today we began the day with gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
The special helper has a spooky pointer this week...take a look:
In language arts we spent a little bit of time finishing our writing assessments. For those who finished on Monday, they had a worksheet to practise letter formation. Next, students worked on dry erase boards and we had the daily five - read to self.
In the afternoon we watched a short video about how to put our coats on. You may watch again with your child, here is the link: https://youtu.be/HpS4M9J1eZM
I like Crawford the Cat videos as it is very instructional and practical.
We all tried to copy Crawford the Cat when we had to put our coats on.
Next JKs had French class and we worked on a couple of hand eye co-ordination activities, where students had to use the bingo dauber to fill in the circles and also practice their scissor grip to cut along on the lines.
After second recess, we worked on an activity involving numeracy. First students completed the activity for numbers 1-5, then if they finished they could advance to the next activity for numbers 5-10.
To finish the day off we had a couple of brain breakers (songs and dance).
Have a great evening everyone and stay warm! :)
