Happy Friday!

Cold but a fun day!!!
Today we began the day with gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
In language/math we worked on sequence. JKs had to cut the pictures of how to set up a Christmas tree and then glue them in correct sequence.
In the afternoon we rehearsed with Ms. Blair's class, had French class and the daily five - read to self.
To finish off the day we had the Show and Tell presentations.

Thursday!

It was lovely to see most of you yesterday at our interviews. Please, feel free to contact me at any time regarding your child's progress, I'll be happy to meet and chat with you! :)
Yesterday our day went well. In the morning we had gym class, Art class with Ms. Kerr and daily five - listen to reading.
In the afternoon we worked on some cutting and paste patterning activities and on letter Q identification.
To finish off the day we had centers!

Today we began the day with gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
In language we used play doh to form the letter Q. Then we had the daily five - read to someone.
In the afternoon we practiced on stage our Christmas song. Next we had French class and worked on a Christmas pattern cut and paste.
To finish off the day we had centers where JKs could explore blocks, drama and dinosaurs.

Happy Tuesday!

Today we began the day with gym class, morning snacks and circle time.
Next JKs had Art class with Ms. Kerr where they used primary colors to do finger paint.
In the afternoon we read a couple of books related to the learner profile attribute: balanced.
After reading the books we brainstormed as a class things we could do to have a safe and fun classroom. Take a look at our classroom door to see what your child said. :)
Next JKs attended French class.
To finish off the day we made candy cane patterns.

Today we had a fun day!
In the morning we had gym class, snacks and circle time.
In language arts we met our new animal friend Quentin Quail. Then we learned the new phonics song  for the letter Q.
Next we used small beads to form the letter Q.
In the afternoon we had the daily five - listen to reading, French class and centers.
In Math JKs colored pattern Christmas lights.
Today we had a special guest, Ms. Tiffany. Ms. Tiffany will spend a couple of weeks with us and she will be helping around the class as a TA.

Happy Thursday!

What a fun day!

In the morning we had gym, snacks and morning circle time. Today we talked about the month of December and something special we might see it this month: SNOW!!!

Then we made a craft snowman.

Next, we practiced our Christmas song for the concert.

In the afternoon we had story time, French class and worked on numeracy. JKs had to count and trace the correct number on their page.

To finish off the day we made snow slime. First we inquired about how the snow slime would feel, look and smell like. We followed the recipe step by step. Everyone participated somehow. Take a look at the pictures:
