Arts Night!!!

Everyone is so excited to perform this afternoon/evening. We have been busy preparing for arts night!
Today we had gym and art classes in the morning. Then after lunch/recess we had story time.
JKs presented their song in the dress rehearsal.
To finish off the day we had centers.

We had a great Monday together!
In the morning we had circle time where JKs shared what they did over the weekend. Then we had snacks. In language arts we worked on printing in the lines and using correct upper/lower case letters.
Then JKs attended Art class, had lunch and recess.
After recess, we started an art project about The very Hungry Caterpillar. It is a bit of long process, but fun!

Today we started by sponge painting the paper green, we waited until it was dry and cut out circles. Then we put the caterpillar together.

-          Tuesday, June 6^th – Bring the wigs

-          Wednesday, June 7^th – “Arts Night” dress rehearsal @1pm – Students are asked to wear a colorful outfit (no uniform is required).

-          Wednesday, June 7^th – Arts Night @7pm – Students are asked to wear a colorful outfit and be dropped off in the class at 6:45pm. There will be a bake sale at the Art Night.

-          Friday, June 9^th is Show and Tell for all students. Bring in your favorite toy!

We had a great day!

In the morning we had the Creature Quest show.

After lunch and recess we wrote in our journals which was our favourite animal from the show.

JKs then practiced their dance on stage.

After second lunch and recess we had centers.

Happy Thursday!

Today we began the day with gym and art classes.
Next, JKs had morning circle time and story time.
After recess we practiced our dance on stage. JKs are looking great!
Then JKs read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We learned the life cycle of a butterfly.
To finish off the day we cut and paste the life cycle in correct order.

Happy Wednesday!

Today we began the day with gym class, morning circle time and snacks.
In language JKs worked on beginning sounds by cutting and pasting the beginning sound of each animal.
Next, JKs had the daily five - listen to reading.
After lunch and recess, we worked on numeracy. Students were asked to count the bugs and write the correct number. Then JKs also worked on a graph, they counted each type of insect and filled in the graph.
Next, we had the opportunity to watch the Oakwoods Disney presentation. JKs did a fantastic job as the audience.
After second lunch and recess, we had centers and we visited the baby chicks.

Today we began the day with gym class, snacks and morning circle time.
Next JKs had the daily five centers where they worked on building words using magnet letters, alphabet stamps and alphabet beads with pipe cleaner.
After lunch and recess JKs read a story together as a class and then had the daily five - read to someone.
Next, JKs had French class and then practiced our dance for Arts Night.
After second lunch and recess, JKs had reading buddies and we had the chance to see the baby chicks one more time before they leave to a local farm.
