Today we began the day with gym class, morning circle time and snacks.
Next, we worked on an sorting animals into categories activity. JKs had to cut and paste pictures of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
In the afternoon we had the daily five - read to self, French class and dry erase boards to practice writing short words.
After second lunch and recess, we practiced our song for arts night, packed up and went outside for the water balloon. I'll post some pictures later in the evening.

Happy Tuesday!
We had a great day!
In the morning JKs attended Gym and Art classes.
Next, we had our morning circle time and the daily five - read to someone.
In the afternoon we had Math. Today we looked into the Canadian coins and its values. JKs got to play pretend market in the class.
After French class, JKs practiced their arts night dance.
To finish off the day we had the Track and Field awards ceremony.

Happy Monday!
Today we began the day with the SJA Annual Spelling Bee. Everyone did fantastic! We will continue to use the cvc words in class, in our journals and through games.
Next, we had morning circle time.
After lunch and recess we worked on our journals. JKs wrote 8 words in their journals and they were encouraged to draw one of those words.
Then JKs attended French class and we started our mini math unit on coins. JKs learned a song about the Canadian coins. Tomorrow we will be playing pretend market, so students can get familiar with the coins.
After second lunch and recess, we had centers. We also finished the writing and reading assessments today. :)

We will be all cheering for you guys on Monday!
Then JKs worked on a little surprise for Mother's Day.
After lunch and recess, we had the daily five -read to someone and read to self.
Then JKs had French class and we continued to work in our Mother's Day surprise.
