In the morning we had snacks, morning circle time and daily five - read to self. In our daily five - read to self JKs had a variety of animal books to choose from.
Next, we talked about different types of mammals. We were very intrigued by the bats. Bats are the only flying mammals. In our inquiry table we had clay and materials to build a bat cave. Not everyone had the chance of going to the inquiry table, for that reason we will still have it tomorrow. :)
Next, we read the book: Goldilocks And The Three Little Bears. Then we made a chart where JKs shared what did they know about bears. The funniest one was: "Bears have angry face and mean eyes!"
Then JKs did a math activity where they had to cut and paste pictures related to the story. The goal was to sort the pictures by size: small, medium and big.
In the afternoon we made bear puppets. Ask your child to tell the story using the puppets! :)
To finish off the day we had the Spring Fundraiser assembly where the top student put make up on Mr. Foster.
